Hyon Stee - Art Therapist.

I am a certified art therapist from the Vancouver Art Therapy Institute (VATI). In my practice, I hold a space of non-judgment and compassion, focusing on your unique journey through any challenges you have encountered in your life. I believe that within each challenge lies an opportunity for growth and healing.

As a visual artist, traveler, and nature lover, who draws from Eastern spirituality, Jungian therapy, and logotherapy, I approach my work with a blend of humanistic process orientation and phenomenology. Through the medium of meaningful art, we follow an inward exploration of symbolism and metaphor, leading to existential thinking.

I have come to strongly believe in natural-based healing through eco-therapy, built upon the transformative power of playful movement, the serenity of conscious breathing, and the profound connection to the inherent beauty within ourselves. This connection serves as a path to inner understanding and wholeness.

Our therapeutic practice is open to individuals of all ages, including anyone grappling with emotional anxiety, the challenges of emotional regulation, and the shadows of depression and trauma. Beyond Art Studio is dedicated to enhancing wellness, enriching quality of life, honouring thought processes, and bringing about deep healing. This fosters not only creative growth but also an improved sense of well-being.
